Item Description

My primary focus is on color relationships and the drama of these colors totally fascinated me. Manipulating acrylic paint on a canvas with knife and brush is an intense visceral process for me. The landscape format allows me to improvise, yet provides a concrete point of reference, both for myself and the viewer.

This piece is 24”x24”, edge-painted, so does not need framing.

IRMA CERESE paints improvised, somewhat abstract landscapes on a geometric foundation. Educated at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, her award-winning work has been featured extensively in group and solo shows and is in numerous private and corporate collections. Represented by Landing Gallery, Rockland, ME, she also exhibits in several other New England galleries
