Item Description
In 2010, cartoonist Art Spiegelman collaborated with venerable dance company Pilobolus to create an inventive new work called Hapless Hooligan. The combined efforts of the two resulted in an innovative new piece that incorporated new mediums for the ever-emerging dance group that left audiences captivated.
Art Spiegelman drew a cartoon that appeared in the New York Times before Hapless Hooligan appeared at The Joyce in July, 2010. This cartoon was blown up to 20" x 30" to show all the comedic details, and has been signed by the artist himself!
