18" X 18" Pastel
I try to give my abstract pieces an ethereal quality using layers of pastel so the underlying colors show through as if appearing froma mist, then juxtapose something sharp or crisp to create tension.
Michael Evans is an award winning artist and a frequent auction donor who resides in Taunton. Michael is an active member of the Board of Trustees. He has exhibited his work in New England and Peru. His work has been juried into several national shows over the years, including the “Renaissance in Pastel” show in Connecticut in 2009 and the “For Pastels Only” show on Cape Cod, where he received a “Juror’s Choice” award in 2010. Michael is represented by The Next Door Gallery in Mansfield, the Sandpiper in Wellfleet and The Accidental Gallery in Boston. Michael teaches at Hunakai Fine Art Studio in Foxboro and in his studio in Pawtucket, RI.

This item can be shipped via UPS or picked up at the Museum from Nov. 10th - Nov. 17th. The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping and handling costs.
