Item Description

12" X 36" X 1 1/2" Acrylic and Ink on canvas

Andrew Sloan has developed a distinctive pop graphic style over the past decade, incorporating vivid colors and bold lines. With a background in packaging design and a degree in Anthropology, his influences include cartoons, graffiti, typography, street culture and popular music. Sloan recently relocated to Providence from Miami. He is busy on a line of original clothing under the label, SLOANWEAR. Andrew is an artist-member of the Attleboro Arts Museum.  He is represented by Montanaro Gallery in Newport, RI and Damien B Contemporary Art Center in Miami, FL.  Andrews work has appeared in shows in New England, Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco and throughout Florida, including Art Miami 2006 and Embracing Our Differences 2007.
