Item Description

14" X 17 1/2" Photograph

"I photographed "Buds Tires" at the end of the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. The fact that someone took the trouble to make a mundane building "beautiful" is a tribute to our human instinct to care about our visual environment.  The commercial messages, superimposed on the subdued palette and symmetrical color elements, create a wonderful tension. If I had a choice, I would certainly buy my tires at BUDS.
