Item Description
13 1/2" X 10 1/2" X 2" Oil
Painting with pallet knives, I layered paint to let the colors interact with each other and to provide interesting texture. The knife strokes form patterns representing sky, water and land. Landscape #109 is intended to let the viewer interpret the scene based on their own experience and to let their mind fill in the details.
Stephen Silver is an oil painter whose artwork transforms the environment into abstract images. Some are recognizable and some are less so, but they're always expressions of his inner emotions. Steve's work can be seen in galleries and in many private collections. Steve is the founder of the SOWA Artists Guild, an association of approximately 50 studio artists at 450 Harrison Ave. in Boston.
