Item Description
It's been a part of the Rhode Island waterfront since the late 19th Century and it's still going strong. It's the Edgewood Yacht Club, depicted here in the inimitable style of Arthur Moniz.
Originally the Edgewood Boat Club, the four-year-old organization changed its name to Edgewood Yacht Club in 1889. The current building, depicted here, was erected in 1908.
This joint donation by the Arthur Moniz Gallery and the Edgewood Yacht Club is one of ten signed artist's proofs for a limited run of prints which the Edgewood Yacht Club will soon be selling to raise funds. It's a fine example of how Arthur Moniz uses graphite-on-paper to capture fine detail and teams it with the warmth and subtlety of watercolor.
Item Special Note
Framed, matted dimensions of this signed artists's proof are 20 1/2"H x 24 1/2"W.
The first edition of prints for which this proof was created will be limited to 300 copies.
