Item Description

This is a Hand Sculpted One of a Kind Polymer Clay Artist Doll. Created by Artist Kerry St.Pierre. The doll’s face, hands and feet were hand sculpted from polymer clay. The costume is hand made using leather, fabric and ribbon. This doll was built on a sturdy wire armature and is gently possible.  No molds or pre-made patterns where used in the creation of this doll. The original concept sketch of this doll is included.

Kerry St.Pierre is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art, in Boston, MA., where she received training in various media’s including sculpture, painting and drawing. Immersed in art since she was a child, it was her mother’s soft sculpture dolls and her love of Jim Henson’s creatures in the movies and on T.V. that inspired her current creations. Although at first self taught in the art of polymer clay dolls she has recently honed her skills by studying under famous doll artist such as Wendy Froud and Jack Johnston. Kerry’s one of a kind hand sculpted and costumed dolls allow her to use her imagination to it’s fullest. Doll Making has become her most challenging form of artist expression to date. From the building of armatures and sculpting of faces, hands and feet, to the design of their costumes, her dolls are truly unique.
