Item Description
If you like to travel but are interested in a more meaningful experience, this is your chance to “give back” while getting away for a few days. You will spend a part or all of one day volunteering. The rest of the time is yours to see the city. As part of this package, a donation will be made to the organization where you choose to volunteer.
Washington DC: DC Central Kitchen – work a 3 hour shift serving the homeless by assisting with food prep or sorting. All volunteers must be 12 or older. Then relax at the Hyatt Regency Washington, DC for a 3 night stay in the heart of DC. Walk to the Smithsonian and the National Mall with the monuments.

Orange County (CA): The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s oceans, waves, and beaches. Join them for a morning or afternoon in a beach clean up and make a tangible improvement to the environment. Then relax at Hyatt Regency Newport Beach for a 3 night stay at this 4 star resort. Enjoy the three pools, health club, jogging path, sand volleyball courts, or rent a bike for the day. Free shuttle provided to Fashion Island, Orange County’s premier open-air retail center.
Airfare: Included in this package are two round-trip coach class tickets on American Airlines from anywhere in the contiguous United States or Canada to any other destination that American flies in the contiguous United States or Canada. (tickets can be used independently of other parts of package if you prefer to use them for a different vacation).

Saturday stay required. Minimum 21 day advance booking required. Subject to availability. Blackout dates in 2010: Nov. 19-24, Nov. 27-29, Dec. 18-23, December 26-31. 2011: Jan 1-3, Mar. 11-13, Mar 18-20, Mar 25-27, Apr 22-25, June 17-19, June 24-26, and Jul 1- 5.
