Item Description

Is there anyone who hasn’t been moved by Michael Pollan’s passionate pleas for a more sane food system? Who in America hasn’t been touched by Alice Waters’s pioneering produce-centered philosophy and philanthropy? These JBF Award winners have done more than change the way Americans eat, they’ve changed the way we think about food. But if you are like us, over the years you’ve probably had a question or two you wanted to ask these personable pundits. Here’s your chance. The winner of this package will enjoy lunch for two at Chez Panisse with both Waters and Pollan à table. It’s the opportunity of a lifetime. And we’ll even throw in copies of their latest books so you can read up before the meal.  This package also includes luxury accommodations at one of the most elegant hotels in the Bay Area, the Claremont Hotel. You'll enjoy a two-night stay and dinner for two at the property's award-winning restaurant, Meritage.

This package includes:

  • Lunch for two at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California, with Alice Waters and Michael Pollan.
  • Two-nights’ accommodations at the Claremont Hotel, Club & Spa in Berkeley, California.
  • Dinner for two at the Claremont’s award-winning restaurant, Meritage.
  • One copy each of Michael Pollan’s Food Rules: An Eater’s Manual and Alice Waters’s In the Green Kitchen: Techniques to Learn by Heart.
