Item Description
This new work from Margaret Tsirantonakis, entitled Roots – Black/Yellow and measuring 30" x 20", is one of the latest pieces from the Connecticut based artist.
Margaret’s paintings have been exhibited at the Mead Art Museum, Amherst College, MA, as well as in Silvermine’s “Art of the Northeast”,CT; Stamford Art Association’s “Faber Birren Color Show”, CT; and NYU “Small Works Show” in NYC. In 2006, curator Lisa Streitfeld selected her painting for inclusion in the show “Icons of the 21st Century” at the Lab Gallery in NYC. Margaret has also shown her work in Taos, New Mexico, and her work is represented in corporate and private collections in the United States, Europe and Japan.
Margaret has exhibited her work in solo and group shows in galleries and universities throughout the Northeast. Recently Margaret’s work was selected to be in the show “Botanical Dreams & Nightmares” juried by Cynthia Roznoy for the Gallery of Contemporary Art, Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, CT. In 2009 one of Margaret’s prints was acquired for Sacred Heart University’s permanent collection. In November 2010 Margaret joined the Prince Street Gallery in New York City.
