Choose from the Breeder's Cup Classic, which is considered by many to be the premier thoroughbred horse race of the year in the U.S. With a purse of $1 million, the Santa Anita Handicap draws the best thoroughbred athletes from across America to participate, and this year will be no different. See young and old horses compete at the Jockey Club Gold Cup, which has often been the event in which horses who have done well in the year's U.S. Triple Crown races first face older opponents on a weight-for-age basis. The Preakness and the Belmont Stakes are the second and third races of the Triple Crown, so if you see the year's Kentucky Derby winner win at both of these races, it will be the first Triple Crown winner in thirty-two years!
