Item Description
Gold Leaf Lacquerware is one of the finest crafts produced in China. It involves a 20 step process that converts normal objects of porcelain or wood into beautiful masterpieces. Each piece is hand painted and gilded with gold leaf, then finished with over 10 coats of lacquer, a process that can take up to a month to complete.
This impressive piece stands 13" high and renders lovely artwork of cranes in the field. The crane is the most popular bird in Chinese history and is a symbol of longevity and auspiciousness. The crane also represents a lasting soaring spirit, health, and happiness.
For decorative purposes only, we do not recommend using water inside. Handcrafted in China.
