Red Willow Botanicals was started in 2009 by Courtney Breed, in Sebastopol, California, USA. Courtney has been a student of herbal medicine since she was 16 years old. Since her first class with herbalist, Shatoya De La Tour at Dry Creek Herb Farm in 1990, she fell in love with the healing plants. During her time studying at the California School of Herbal Studies with master medicine makers Karen Aguilar and Terri Jensen, her love of medicine making exploded, and soon, she began sharing her medicines with friends and family. After giving them away for free for many months she was encouraged by friends to begin offering them at a cost to her wider comunity…Thus Red Willow Botanicals was born…
