Item Description
Inspire your student and her classmates with a poet in the classroom!
Children are natural poets, and they often don't know the joy of writing poetry until a poet visits their classroom. A one hour class includes memorizing a short poem; reading another poem aloud; writing a poem and sharing it with the class. Give your child the gift of playing and inventing with words.
For twenty years, Gwynn O'Gara has been helping children in schools write their own poetry through California Poets in the School. She is the Sonoma County Poet Laureate for 2010-2011. Gwynn will come to your Sonoma County classroom and spend hour with all the children on their own poetry.
Expires Jan 1st, 2012
