Item Description

You are bidding on a 100% authentic wooden Colonial Box/Cribbage Board from Frye’s Mill in Wilton, New Hampshire.

Such a treasure as this would class up the castle of any King…and it’ll look splendid in your abode, too!  (That would be your cue to fan yourself with hundred-dollar bills and exclaim, “Do tell!”)

Frye's Mill follows documented Shaker traditions to painstakingly create Shaker and Colonial boxes with native maple, hand bent around wooden shaping molds, and fastened with copper tacks. The finish is smooth as a baby’s bottom, and the secret ingredient…is love.  (That would be your cue to burst into tears.)

The top surface of this oval work of art has 132 precision-drilled holes that will allow you to spend long winter evenings sipping hot toddies and beating the crap out of your opponents in cribbage.  A dozen wooden scoring pegs are included.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Frye's Mill has been water powered since the 1850's.  Examples of Frye's oldest woodenware can be found in museums throughout the country.

Box is approximately 9 inches long, 6 inches wide and 2 inches deep.  It really is lovely.

BONUS! If you’re the highest bidder, your Colonial Box will be filled with bonus gifts and treasures from the personal collection of Bill in Portland Maine, which he keeps on various shelves at the CVS across the street!

This is the end of the description.  (And that would be your cue to bid eleventy gazillion dollars.)
