*Each lesson is a thirty minute individual private lesson and is expected to be given weekly.  It is recommended that if the student is a child that the student be at least 5 years old and able to be attentive for the duration of a 30 minute session.  Additionally the student should be willing to develop skills outside of lessons with home practice.  

Jim Howell is a private drum set and percussion instructor in Tucson, Arizona. He teaches six days a week and performs almost weekly playing drums with one of many bands around town. Jim's specialty is drum set instruction and performance but he also teaches snare, school percussion and a variety of other percussion instruments. While his main stylistic influence is Rock, Jim has a deep knowledge and appreciation of all American music genres and their rich history tracing back to Blues/Jazz/Country etc... Jim believes that a solid foundation in all American styles will give a drummer the depth, versatility, and confidence to play even the most contemporary drum set styles.
(Translation: Everyone should learn how to play a shuffle!)

Item Special Note

This certificate has no cash value and can only be redeemed by the stated recipient.  The lesson credits expire if not used within six calendar months.  24-hour notice must be given for rescheduling of any lesson.  Forfeiture of one lesson credit is expected for each 30 minute lesson missed without sufficient cancellation notice. This certificate holds no cash value however each 30 minute lesson session normally costs $25.

+Lessons must be held at Jim Howell Drums and Percussion Studio 2725 East La Cienega.  Scheduling is based upon the instructor’s availability at that location. Please call or email to inquire and schedule the lessons.  Two lesson credits may be combined into one hour-long lesson if desired and if the schedule permits.
