Bank Street Summer Camp reflects the philosophy of the Bank Street School for Children We are a child-centered, nurturing community and a large percentage of the staff are current Bank Street teachers, graduate students and graduates of the School for Children. Many of them come back every summer to maintain their relationships with the campers and their diverse families in order to ensure a more enjoyable and memorable experience.
We have gone beyond the standards of the traditional camp venue by offering focused groups like Shakespeare, Spanish Immersion, Travel, Science and Art. We have also entered into numerous collaborations with major NY museums. Currently we are working with NY Hall of Science, Met, ural History Museum, China School and Rubin Museum. The newest collaboration, with the ts Point Alliance for Children focuses on increasing literacy through Shakespeare.
