The picture represents "La Griteria" (The Shouting), a boisterous and celebratory festival held on December 7th, the final day of a nine-day period, La Purisima, honoring the Virgin Mary. As fireworks explode around them, Nicaraguans "shout" to the virgin, and they walk the streets to visit their neighbors and exchange gifts. The poster is 25" wide and 19-1/4" high.
