Item Description

Media:   Hand cut ‘artist palette’ base, stained glass, acrylic beads and seed beads.

Artist Statement:

I was a graphic artist with Wisconsin Public Television for 28 years.  When I retired in 1999 I was able to pursue my true passion, watercolor.  From there I branched out and tried different mediums, such as acrylics, pastels and mosaics.  However, after my first mosaic class with instructor Rosemary Rizzo (Flamingo Fanny Mosaics, Port Charlotte, Florida), I was “hooked”!  I love the intense colors of mosaics, as well as the variety of materials that may be used to create unlimited unique artistic projects.  Anything goes!  I have completed several mosaic pieces, and began teaching the art in my private studio in Madison, Wisconsin in 2009.
