Item Description
This auction lot gives you two treasures in one!
First, a beautifully hand embroidered 100% silk scarf from Hunan, China. Examples of Hunan embroidery have been found which date back more than 2,300 years. Embroidery in the Hunan Province has developed extensively in the intervening centuries, and Hunan Embroidery is a recent product of this development, and borrows influences from other Chinese embroidery styles. Hunan Embroidery is considered one of the four great embroidery styles of China.
Paired with the scarf is an amazing wooden comb, carved from two separate pieces of wood, by the Chongqing Carpenter Tan Handicrafts.
The silk scarf is valued at $45, and the comb is valued at $25. Both items come direct from China and were hand-carried over by two of our very own ISTP parents.
Item Special Note
Gift certificates and paper products can be mailed to the winner's home; all other items must be picked up at ISTP's Cohn Campus.
