Winning bidder will receive one week of Boot Camp from the School of Rock. 

About School of Rock:

With more than a decade of successful experience teaching music, School of Rock is the national leader in music education for kids from 2nd grade through high school.  Students learn from professional musicians in an interactive environment combining weekly private lessons and structured group rehearsals with the ultimate goal of performing live in front of real crowds.

SUMMER CAMP & APRIL BREAK CAMP INFORMATION

Program A - Performance Boot  Camp

A great introduction to our year- round program.  This is a way for new and current students to make huge strides in the performance abilities.  Students receive intensive individual and group lessons on the instrument of their choice.  The program culminates in a live show.  This is an ideal program for advanced beginners.

Duration:      1 Week

Schedule: 9am - 3pm (Monday through Friday), July 18-22

Max enrollment: 20

Activities include:

  • ½ hour private lessons with our instructors, many of whom are Berklee-affiliated.
  • Being grouped into a band of 3-5 musicians
  • Learning 2 cover songs
  • Writing 1 original song from scratch
  • Recording your songs onto a CD
  • Guitar and drum maintenance clinics
  • Learning how to promote your show
  • Performing at a show at a local rock venue!

This program is for students, ages 7-17 who play or are interested in studying one of the following instruments: Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, or Drums.

CHECKS TO BE MADE OUT TO DEVOTION SCHOOL AND MAILED TO CINDY TUNGATE, DEVOTION SCHOOL SPRING CARNIVALE, 345 HARVARD STREET, BROOKLINE, MA 02446 (OR DROPPED IN HER MAILBOX AT SCHOOL).
