Item Description

The Laccarino family invites you to Discover the food and tradition of Southern Italy at Don Alfonso 1890

  • A One night stay
  • Guided tour of our organic farm, located in the magic atmosphere of Punta Campanella
  • Dinner for two consisting of a special tasting menu with a selection of regional wines.

A panoramic road on the Gulf of Naples and Salerno leads to the restaurant Don Alfonso where family tradition is at the service of a brilliant cuisine, centered on vegetables and extra virgin olives oil which are self produced.

The cuisine is based on the three principles of Mediterranean style, modernity and top quality raw ingredients. It is Mediterranean because its origins are steeped in the culinary traditions of the Campania region, which the creativity of the Iaccarino family then freely interprets and modifies. It is modern thanks not only to the use of extra-virgin olive oil, fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, and fresh fish or low-fat meats, but also to the use of the most up to date cooking technologies. But the essential building block of our cuisine is the availability of the highest quality raw materials: for twenty years we have sought out local artisan food producers and we have dedicated ourselves to producing our own fruits and vegetables -- as well as extra virgin olive oil and lemon liqueur -- on our six-hectare farm near the restaurant.

The wine cellar is unique -- not only for the extensive collection of great wines, but also for the rooms that house them. The cellar descends vertically from vaults that were built at the turn of the last century, through lower cellars of the seventeenth and sixteenth centuries, down to an extraordinary tunnel that was dug out of the tuff hillside in the Roman era.

The restaurant is surrounded by 8 luxurious suites for our guests to stay in. Each has been furnished as if it were our own home, and the breakfast we serve -- out on the garden terrace, if you prefer -- is carefully prepared by the same chefs whose cuisine will delight you in the restaurant.
