Item Description
Good for one day of either ski or snowboarding lessons for a special needs child age 5 or older in Windam NY, with Adaptive Sports Foundation!
Participation in sports and recreational activities is a great way for anyone to stay healthy, increase their self esteem and develop confidence. For individuals with special needs, participation in sports not only increases their self esteem and shows them a healthy lifestyle but also increases their sense of self worth. Often, participants say, “If I can ski, kayak, bike, etc…I can do anything!” By accomplishing the skills of a particular sport, disabled individuals can take that new found self confidence back to their everyday lives.
