Sasha Rudensky was born in 1979 in Moscow, Russia. She received her MFA from Yale University School of Art in 2008 and BA from Wesleyan University in 2001. She was the recipient of the Ward Cheney Memorial Award from Yale University in 2008, Mortimer-Hays Brandeis Traveling Fellowship in 2004-2005, and Leica/Jim Marshall Award and Jessup Prize in 2001. Her work has been shown at Danziger Projects, New York; Gallery 339 in Philadelphia; Gallery on Old Bailey, Hong Kong, China; Rooke Gallery, Johannesburg, South Africa; Jen Bekman Gallery, New York; Zilkha Gallery, Middletown, CT and others. Sasha is currently a Visiting Professor of Art at Wesleyan University.
