Item Description
St. Jimmy
AMERICAN IDIOT
2010
He may the hardest rocker on Broadway, but as a teddy bear, American Idiot’s St. Jimmy looks down right adorable – in a punk rock freedom fighter kind of way. Based on the charismatic dark angel of Green Day’s epic musical, this St. Jimmy sports a look identical to the one created on stage – and created using the same fabrics used for the Broadway costume. With his black tank top and heavily adorned, black high-waisted pants, St. Jimmy the Bear mimics the look rocked originally by Tony Vincent, then later recreated on stage by Green Day’s own Billy Joe Armstrong (who co-authored the musical) and rock legend Melissa Etheridge. The shimmering eyes were imported from Australia to mirror the devastatingly blue eyes of Tony Vincent. The tattoos on his arms – carefully stitched in black to remain permanent – are scale replicas of the designs worn by the stage St. Jimmy. Other hand-crafted details include his hard-core knee pads, bondage lather belt and matching bracelet, black leather Lugz on his feet, silver-colored heavy chain on his belt and locks of black hair hand-sewn to give St. Jimmy his one-of-a-kind look.
