History – and now Broadway Bears – has gotten all sexypants with the arrival of America’s seventh president. Direct from the battlefields, this bloody bloody bear wears the tight, tight jeans made of black stretch denim with special seaming for an extra-close fit, just as star Benjamin Walker did in the show. The pants are even complete with two labels taken directly from jeans worn by Walker in the Broadway production. His cut-away military jacket is of yellow-gold cotton sateen. The bodice is fully lined with white satin and the tails, collar and cuffs are lined in navy blue cotton. The jacket is adorned with gold metallic braid and trimmed with 28 gold, metallic military buttons sporting eagles. Under the jacket, Mr. President wears a white thermal long-sleeved shirt that’s two layers of soft textured cotton with hand-painted “blood” stains on the front. This bear, whose arms and legs were subtly lengthened to reflect Walker’s 6-foot-3-inch frame, also sports a leather holster with miniature classic revolver on the right and, on the left, a leather knife case and hunting knife with a sculpted loop for his microphone. His ankle boots are laced-up Timberland Earth Keepers. And in true rock star president style, he wears smudged “guyliner” beneath his eyes. This bear is SO that guy! Let’s hear it for populism!
