Item Description
Peter Parker/Spider-Man
SPIDER-MAN
2010
Here’s your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! He does whatever a spider can. This elusive character makes his 2011 Broadway Bears auction premiere just as he starts his run on Broadway. “Spider-Bear” wears a custom printed unitard by Gene Mignola with the exact digital print used in the show and approved by Marvel Comics®, printed on the same spandex material worn by all the Spideys in the musical. The hand-stitched costume was built over the bear’s skin with removable hood, gloves and shoes. His hood features protective vision screen panels over his eyes. The spandex material was hand-basted before stitching to ensure that every web line matches up across the seams. His shoes are infant sizes of the same Puma® sneakers worn by Spider-Man on Broadway. On top of all of this, even the bear’s musculature was built up in all the right places to give him that superhero physique. This superhero is an exact replica from the show painstakingly converted to fit our adorable teddy bear. The Green Goblin had better watch out. Take a look overhead. There goes the Spiderman!
