Item Description
Bring the natural world indoors with this lifelike carving of a mating pair of house finches. This could be a romantic gift for the birder in your life, or a great decorative item for your study. Roy Griffith is an avid birder and a highly skilled artisan in woodworking. The details of this sculpture are beautifully rendered – from the warm glint in the eyes to the feather details and the grip of the talons on the driftwood. The male displays more vivid reddish coloration for courting, while the female’s dappled head and breast identify her. The entire sculpture, including base, is 7” high, 11” wide, and 8” deep.
