Item Description
You are bidding on an umpire-worn jersey worn by home-plate umpire John Hirschbeck when he called balls and strikes (mostly strikes) in the postseason no-hitter thrown by Roy Halladay of the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2010 National League Division Series against the Cincinnati Reds. The black long-sleeved #17 jersey is signed by Hirschbeck above the left chest pocket.
Halladay's gem is only the second postseason no-no in Major League Baseball history, following Don Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 World Series. He's also now the only player to have thrown a no-hitter in the postseason and regular season in the same year, having thrown a perfect game of his own earlier in the season.
