Item Description

The winning bidder will receive one week of our Vacation Camp at Create a Cook, a cooking school for kids and adults located in Newton, MA.  This is good for any vacation camp for the next 7 years.

Vacation camps run in December, February and April and we follow the Newton school calendar. 

 

Camps are for ages 7-10 and 11+ and run Monday thru Friday from either 9:30 – 12:30 or 2:00 – 5:00.

 

Kids take home all of the delicious food that they make after every class!

 

About Create-A-Cook's Cooking Classes:

  • Small class sizes with a maximum of 12 students
  • Start with basic skills and add new ones
  • Enjoy making and eating healthy and nutritious food
  • Learn about foods from many cultures
  • Bring home recipes and make them for your family

    • Our school year (which follows the Newton Public Schools' calendar) is divided into five 7-week terms. During each term, we offer classes for kids in six specific age groups from 3-15.

    Our classrooms are specially designed for kids of all ages—with adjustable tables and chairs, kitchen tools that are safe and user-friendly, and a warm and welcoming environment.

    Theme: Kids Cook the Book!
    Jump into some of our favorite cookbooks and discover new recipes as we learn from the creative authors and chefs who write them!  There’s always something new to discover when we crack open the books and start chopping, blending, and sautéing.

    Themes for Camps This Year:

    February 21-25 | Monday through Friday

    Theme: 7-10 Cozy Winter Bistro

    Theme: 11+ 9:30-12:30 Frosting Fondant and Fun

    Theme: 11+ 2:00 - 5:00 Cozy Winter Bistro



    April 18-22 | Monday through Friday

    Theme: THEME COMING SOON

    Fees:

    Weekly fees per half-day sessions: $350
    Fee for December session will be less (shorter session).

    Includes all food costs.
    We are happy to accommodate your child for
    a single session, based on availability.

    PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A FUNDRAISING EVENT AND THERE ARE NO REFUNDS.  

    CHECKS TO BE MADE OUT TO DEVOTION SCHOOL AND MAILED TO CINDY TUNGATE, DEVOTION SCHOOL SPRING CARNIVALE, 345 HARVARD STREET, BROOKLINE, MA 02446 (OR DROPPED IN HER MAILBOX AT SCHOOL).

     

    All winning bidders will be charged a transaction fee of 5%, not to exceed $20 per item, to cover a portion of the auction transaction fees. We thank you for helping with this and supporting the school.
