Item Description
Alpacas, a cousin to the llama and camel, are animals that are grown for their fiber. The fiber is lighter, softer and four times warmer than sheep wool. Alpaca fiber is often considered as soft and as luxurious as cashmere! This beautiful light brown scarf was donated by Frontier School CNEP Student, Patty Kandiko.
Item Special Note
Special Note from Apple Orchard Alpaca
We want to share this experience of alpaca fiber through the donation of a 100% alpaca scarf. Be the proud owner of this exquisite garment and the center of attention among your friends when you wear it. Apple Orchard Alpaca is a family owned and operated alpaca farm located in Northeast Wisconsin. It has been in business since 1997.
I am in Class #70 at FSMFN. After receiving my BSN in 1993, I have held a variety of nursing positions in clinics, hospitals, birthing centers, and in public health. My lifelong dream has been to be a midwife. After my three children left home, I was able to actively pursue this dream through FSMFN. I look forward to soon be a practicing midwife in Colorado.
