Item Description
Before there were the Vermont Lake Monsters, there were the Vermont Expos. These two mini souvenier bats remind us of those days. Both bats are approximately 15" long and bear the Vermont Expos logo.
The first bat probably dates from the 2003 season. It's signed by 3 players. We can make
out two of the autographs, but sadly, they are not of players who made it to "The Show", or the Major Leagues: Oscar Bernazard and Dan Generelli. The second bat is signed by "Champ", indicating it is probably from 2005. This is the year the Vermont Expos affiliation changed from the Montreal Expos to the Washington Nationals, but the team did not have time to change their official name and gear until the following season. So, Champ as mascot was introduced, but the bat still reads Vermont Expos.
