Item Description
Can you believe this piece of art was created by FIRST GRADERS? This 24 x 36 canvas was painted entirely by the boys of Mrs. Jorgensen's First Grade class with the guidance of Room Mom, Krista Quenzer.
Using acrylic paints, the boys first painted the canvas a quiet beige. They placed tape in random patterns across it and began painting using paper towels, newspaper, sponges and pencil erasers for interesting effects. They finished by talking about famous artist Jason Pollock and imitating his splatter technique.
Whether you have a child, grandchild or no child in First Grade, this is truly a special piece of contemporary art upon which to bid. Imagine the amazement of your guests when they find out just exactly what First Graders are capable of!
