Item Description
This cherry bowl is handmade from a local cherry tree that died of natural causes. This particular bowl has an unusual, yet beautiful grain that will slowly darken to a warm and deep amber color over time. It can be used around the home to hold indirect food items such as whole fruits or nuts, to hold your keys, potpourri, a collection of shells or it can be displayed as is.
Often people who see my bowls with their attractive grain, color, and finely tuned forms, want to pick them up. All of my pieces are unique and made to show off particular grain patterns to display the inherent beauty that wood provides. They are meant to be used and handled but they look equally as good on display.
This handcrafted bowl measures 5 inches high and has a diameter of 8.5 inches. The finish is a natural tung oil and food-safe carnauba wax. Care instructions as well as images of past work can be found at www.hnwoodworks.com.
