Adorn your home with Karen Whitman's 11x18" matted linocut (2002) 'Painting the Town' generously donated by Platt Fine Art.
Whitman was recently awarded the 2001 Kuniyoshi Fund Award in recognition of her excellence and dedication as a print maker. She is the 31st recipient of the award since it's establishment in 1968 by members of the Woodstock artist's community.
Whitman's exuberant, skillfully drawn linoleum block prints as well as her etchings have been shown around the country in more than 25 museums and galleries since 1993. Her prints are in the permanent collections of the British Museum of London and the New York Public Library among other institutions.
Whitman does her own printing on her 1914 Vandercook horizontal proof press. She recently won the Rembrandt Graphic Arts Printmaker Award. She also received the 2001 Ana Hyatt Huntington bronze medal from the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club.
The winning bidder will receive the Karen Whitman signed and numbered Linocut 'Painting the Town.'
