Have you ever tasted freshly made tofu? Or yuba, the thin sheets of soy that rise to the top of fresh soymilk? Have you enjoyed the difference made by using the finest, non-GMO soybeans available?

Experience tofu in a whole new way at Hodo Soy Beanery, an artisan soy company in Oakland, CA. Founder and "Tofu Master" Minh Tsai, who was named one of Food & Wine Magazine's "40 Big Food Thinkers 40 and Under" will show you how amazing fresh, artisanal soy can be. Hodo Soy Beanery's soy products can be found in farmers' markets, select retailers, as well as world-class restaurants such as San Francisco's Slanted Door and Coi.

Minh is passionate about soy, and proudly challenges the myths and stereotypes of tofu. He will give you a personal, behind-the-scenes look at how artisanal soy products are made, with a private evening tour for 10 adults, video viewing, tofu-making class and tasting. Minh will demonstrate a few cooking techniques and provide samples of dishes for you and your guests. Dishes such as delicate yuba, soy noodles made from firm tofu, and silky soy custard served with ginger syrup are just a few examples of the Hodo Soy Beanery repertoire.

After this great experience with a true Tofu Master, expect to be a lifelong tofu convert!

Limitations: Evening tour/tofu making class with tasting must take place from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. on a mutually agreeable date. Tour and tasting is for 10 adults. Tour and tasting must take place before March 1, 2012.
