Item Description

Dr. Laura Adams at the Animal Hospital of Cotati offers two (2) Acupuncture treatments and a comprehensive physical exam of your cat or dog.

Animal Hospital of Cotati is a four-doctor practice providing their clients with the most advanced diagnostics, medical treatment and surgery available. When necessary, they work closely with numerous referral veterinarians to enable them to fully explore treatment options, if the client chooses. They offer integrated medical options providing the highest-level possible of “Western” medicine as well as providing “Alternative” options including acupuncture, bioresonance, Chiropractic, and herbal treatments.

Acupuncture originated in China over 4500 years ago and has been used to treat disease and to maintain health. Acupuncture needles are placed in specific points on the body that have been determined by the practitioner to be the most beneficial for the presenting condition. The stimulation of the points usually results in a therapeutic effect.

Acupuncture can be used to treat a variety of conditions, such as arthritis, lameness, intervertebral disc disease (either when surgery is not an option or post-surgery to speed the recovery process), paralysis, gastrointestinal disease, and many others.

Sedation is not required or recommended and sessions take between 30 minutes to an hour.

Only licensed veterinarians are eligible to practice acupuncture in most states. Dr. Laura Adams is the veterinary acupuncturist at Animal Hospital of Cotati and is certified by the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine and the China National Society of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.

This Offer: 2 acupuncture appts. Includes a comprehensive physical exam of your dog or cat.
