Item Description
When a professor at a Christian seminary showed his class this passage as an example of the rabbinic approach to sin, one of his students charged him with sexual harassment. In this salon we'll look at the passage and learn something about assault, something about shame, and something about the mind of the rabbis.
Rabbi Joshua Gutoff has been teaching and writing about Jewish texts and ideas to and for people of all backgrounds. A contributing editor at the Jerusalem Report, he is currently working on a dissertation on Talmud and the moral imagination.
