Item Description
Do you ever feel like you have great ideas, but lack a great audience? Now, you can share a private lunch with Burnsville Mayor Elizabeth Kautz and discuss anything that’s on your mind. Have some big ideas about how to improve the city? Want to know more about a city initiative or program? Or maybe you just want to pick the brain of a successful, passionate woman?
Burnsville Mayor Elizabeth Kautz was first elected in 1994, and has been re-elected five times since. During her tenure, absolutely no one—be they a supporter or critic—would question her dedication to helping the City of Burnsville grow and prosper. Among her notable accomplishments, Kautz was recently elected president of the US Conference of Mayors, becoming the first suburban mayor and the first minority woman and only the 5th woman to ever hold the office in the 79 year history of the organization.
Mayor Kautz is the City Council Liaison to several city commissions, committees or community initiatives, including the Planning Commission, Heart of the City initiative, International Festival Committee and GARAGE Advisory Committee. She also represents Burnsville on several state and regional agencies, such as the Municipal Legislative Commission Board of Directors, the Suburban Transit Authority and she co-founded and co-chaired the Metropolitan Regional Council of Mayors.
Item Special Note
Winning bidder receives free lunch for 2 people (plus Mayor Kautz). Redeem between May 2011 and December 2011. Plan in advance with Mayor Kautz to coordinate schedules.
