Item Special Note

Leo Tecosky is a Brooklyn-based glass artist, freelance fabricator and the current UrbanGlass Visiting Artist. His work touches on elements of hip-hop culture, using themes and imagery blended with traditional glassblowing and neon bending techniques. Tecosky has begun experimenting with the screen printing process, taking printmaking to a different and more sculptural level by allowing for a collage of imagery in 3D using the transparency of glass to mirror his surroundings and echo his experiences. Tecosky has assisted teachers at Pilchuck glass school and instructed courses at Penland School of Crafts and The Studio at Corning and most recently completed an Artist in Residence Program in Istanbul. He has exhibited across the country and internationally. Leo Tecosky is the current Visiting Artist at Urbanglass. He is a Brooklyn based artist and freelance fabricator. His work touches on elements of hip-hop culture using themes and imagery blended with traditional glassblowing and neon bending techniques.
