Her philosophy focuses on aligning awareness of body and mind and empowering each person to exceed their perceived limitations. She believes in incorporating a variety of disciplines of training to challenge both the body and mind, affecting the muscular, skeletal and nervous system. Michelle is passionate about bringing the body and mind together as one, and about constantly challenging both to reach a higher level. She believes that working hard by learning to be attentive will translate into and cascade into bringing positive energy to you and those around you. Having had a successful run in finance in mergers & acquisitions and investor relations, Michelle understands the importance of keeping a balanced lifestyle of challenging the mind as well as the body. In 2005, she co-founded Speedball Fitness LLC to build a brand of fitness regimens. Michelle utilizes all training tools available to her including kettlebells, ropes, BOSU, balance training tools, swimming, boxing, interval training, kickboxing, and yoga to stimulate your mind and physical body. She is certified in kickboxing, kettlebells, BOSU, Schwinn cycling, and ViPR. Michelle has also trained with RKC master trainers to further her studies of kettlebells, in kung-fu, in boxing and in swimming. She also her certificate in Anusara yoga, with nearly 400 hours of yoga studies including Yoga For Two (Mommy and Me & Pre/Post-Natal Yoga) with Mary Barnes and Therapeutics training with John Friend. She is also the assistant volunteer coach with Columbia University Women's Swimming and has a life coaching business. Michelle has been a resident of the Upper West Side for 15 years. She graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall and Georgetown University with a degree in Finance and Japanese.
