Item Description

Do you need to know your rate of metabolism and your daily caloric needs maintain a healthy lifestyle? With a simple test, we can determine your rate of metabolism and daily caloric needs. Using the results from your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) test, you can determine how many calories per day you need to achieve energy balance. This test is appropriate for all fitness levels.

The benefits of this assessment include:

  • How many calories you burn at rest

Bone Density Scan, also called Dual Energy X-Ray Absortiometry (DXA), can estimate 3 compartments of body composition including fat mass, bone mineral and mineral free lean tissue. DXA uses a low dosage of radiation to assess body composition, including percent body fat.

The benefits of this assessment include:

  • Understand your lean tissue, fat mass, and bone mineral density
  • How you improve your body composition

Item Special Note

Testing and interpretation of the results typically can last from 20-45 minutes.

Good candidates would e anyone interest in health and wellness; Those interested in getting baseline information on their bodies with thoughts of starting a physical activity/exercise program or those already in progress and want to know where they are.

We recommend that if someone starts a workout/health program that they will get baseline information and potentially repeat the DXA, for example, 6-12 months later to see if further changes have occurred.
