Item Description
Includes:
- Tola Nero D'Avola ($12): Nero d’Avola is Sicily’s most popular red wine. They are known for their full body, good fruit, and food friendly acidity. The Nero d’Avola from Tola has a nose of sour cherries and blackberries. The full body floods the palate with these flavors and with gentle yet persuasive structure. It’s juicy and youthful yet dark and firm.
- Villa Donna Chianti 2007 ($10): The wine is ruby red, and has a cherry fruit aroma and is dry, slightly spicy with balanced tannins. Excellent with pizza, pasta, mixed grill and hard cheeses.
- Gode II Rosso di Toscana 2009 ($13): This wine comes from a top Chianti Classico producer and the fruit hails from their personal estate. Made up of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Canaiolo. Smooth and inviting with fresh, lively fruits. Soft tannins and a long finish. Medium bodied and able to pair with chicken, pork and red meats.
- Turina Groppella ($15): The flavour is intense and robust, with a slightly bitter and herbal aftertaste. Beef, lamb, and other full-flavored red meats are particularly well matched with this wine.
- Vignetti Del Sole Montepulciano 2009 ($11): After harvest, the wine is aged in stainless steel until bottling, preserving the freshness and fruit we love about Montepulciano! This is a bang for your buck kind of wine - easy drinking, fresh red fruits, and a little earthiness make it a great Montepulciano for the money.
- Turina Marzemino ($16): “Garda Marzemino” has a full body with dense ruby-red hue and purple undertones. Herbal and undergrowth aroma are characteristic of this wine, as well as a dry and well characterized taste. It is well matched with barbequed, roasted and stewed meats and game, and well aged cheeses.
