Item Description
Cynthia W.’s 2nd and 3rd graders researched and carefully chose Adinkra symbols native to Western Africa to adorn this 6x6 foot spread. The symbols representing concepts or aphorisms were made into stamps and applied with fluid acrylics. Once each 100% cotton block was made, they were sewn and bound around the edges.

This class art project is being previewed online. All bidding will take place at our live event on Sat. April 2, 7 - 10pm, at Stephan Weiss Studio, 711 Greenwich Street (corner of Charles), NYC. Tickets can be purchased at www.ps3nyc.org. We hope to see you there!
