Item Description
Have you always secretly wanted to be a storm chaser? Then this auction item's for you!
Enjoy a delicious lunch at Bascom's Chop House with Bay News 9 meteorologist Josh Linker. He'll give you the inside scoop on Florida's weather, answer the burning question of whether meteorologists are born or made, and explain exactly how that green screen really works.
When the original Bascom came to Florida at the turn of the last century to help Henry Flagler build the Key West Railroad, he brought with him his love for thick cut chops and juicy steaks. During his travels, he also discovered the bounties of fresh native Florida seafood. All of his favorites have been brought together in a true American Chop House that pays tribute to Bascom's hearty appetite and a passion for great steaks, chops, and fresh seafood.
Josh Linker can be seen on Bay News 9's Your Morning News Saturday and Sunday mornings. Later in the week, Josh moves to the night shift to bring you the weather on the 7:00 News on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
A graduate of the State University of New York in Albany, Josh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in atmospheric science, and has the Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society. He also earned the AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal in 1998.
Bay News 9 is your home for local and breaking news in the greater Tampa Bay area with a coverage area that includes seven counties: Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk.
