Hosts of several Taylor Love/ Band of Parents fundraisers, StudioRock of Northern Virginia is the area's finest music program. Give your child the gift of music this summer by bidding one week of the StudioRock summer camp series.  Located in the Cascades area of Sterling/Potomac Falls. Ideal for ages 7 - 17. All levels from beginner to advanced.

SUMMER CAMP SESSION I

July 11^th - July 15^th

GUITAR

Students enrolled in this session will be provided with a broad range of guitar instruction meeting them at their current level. All aspects of guitar performance will be covered giving each student multiple opportunities to develop skills in a fast-paced, fun, and educational atmosphere. Students will be grouped according to ability and by the end of the camp will be performing together in an ensemble setting.

SUMMER CAMP SESSION II

July 18^th - July 22^nd

KEYBOARD with VOCAL COMPLEMENT

Music theory and history will be interspersed with keyboard instruction giving students the best in comprehensive music study. Students enrolled in this session will be introduced to all aspects of keyboard and synthesizer techniques with an eye towards performance. Students will be met at their current level. Beginning as well as advanced students will move ahead quickly as they will be provided with motivating instruction full of excitement and surprises. Students with vocal ability will be taught to sing and play enabling them to be functional in two critical areas of musical performance.

SUMMER CAMP SESSION III

July 25^th - July 29^th

VOCALS

Students enrolled in the vocal session will be introduced to singing techniques that will broaden their ability to sing in any setting and style. Students will be taught proper breathing, posture, and expression and will be able to sing with quality and assurance. Experienced and non-experienced students will benefit from vocal coaching in solo, duo, trio, and larger group settings. Instruction in ear training and harmonizing will enable students to learn techniques that will develop their voice to its full potential.

SUMMER CAMP SESSION IV

August 1^st - August 5^th

MUSIC ENSEMBLE

Students enrolled in the ensemble session will be assembled in order to play with a mix of instruments and vocalists in order to perform, arrange, and experiment with music of a variety of genres. In this setting creativity will blossom as students take advantage of the myriad possibilities afforded them by the ensemble mix. Music will be chosen carefully with performance in mind leading to endless possibilities for learning in a cooperative setting.
