About the Artist: Born in Los Angeles in 1947, James Talmadge is a contemporary American painter influenced by neo-impressionism. His work has been exhibited in more than 100 shows in the US and abroad and has been avidly sought after by public and private collectors, including museums and corporations. These include The Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, The Museum of Modern Art in Osaka, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Jamaica, Sony Corporation, Atlantic Records, and the art collections of such people as Andre Agassi and Martin Sheen. Talmadge’s art has been featured on the Bill Cosby Show and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. He has appeared on television, both abroad and in the US; during a cultural exchange program with Cuba, his art demonstration was broadcast worldwide by CNN.
