Item Description
Light up the night as you go out on the town in this studded and sequined black crown! This classy headwear, donated by Baltimore born jazz musician Ethel Ennis, is modeled by Morgan State University senior and theatre arts major Erica M. Poe. This original homemade hat was designed by Ethel dating 1973 and was worn during one of her notable performances. Throughout her 60 year career, Ethel has recorded notable works with several major labels and has received critical acclaim for her live performances. She has toured the world with a who’s who of jazz greats, made numerous national TV appearances, sang the title song for the 1967 feature film Mad Monster Party, and performed at the 1973 Presidential Inauguration.
