Item Description

Spend a day at the races in the horse and wine country of Loudoun County in Northern Virginia. Just 35 miles west of Washington, D.C., Morven Park hosts the 32nd running of the Steeplechase Races on October 8, 2011.

The winner of this item receives an infield railside pass which provides access for one vehicle and all its occupants. You and your guests will enjoy the perfect view of world-class steeplechase racing over lush grass and brush and timber jumps.  Kids will enjoy the Family Fun area with games and small animals available for petting.

The winning bidder also receives 12 passes to the Westmoreland Davis Mansion tour, also located on the 1,000-acre property. Once the home of Virginia's 55th governor, the Mansion was recently restored to reflect the life of its most-famous resident. Previously, the site had been a working plantation and was later an encampment site for the 17th Mississippi Regiment of the Confederate Army.

Item Special Note

Morven Park is located just outside the Leesburg city limits and is a 20-minute drive from Dulles Airport.

Modeling the life of Virginia Gov. Westmoreland Davis, Morven Park preserves and advances the ideals of civic-minded leadership, sustainable agriculture, and the conscientious use of open space for the public good.
